Thera is the beloved pet of James and Judy MacDonald of Algonac, MI. Thera provides hospice care and therapy to the MacDonalds. She has been a member of their family since May of 2003.
In March of 2011, Thera was diagnosed with a malignant nerve sheath tumor. The tumor has been removed and Thera is undergoing 19 radiation treatments over 4 weeks. On April 19, 2011, Judy wrote, "Thera is on her second week of radiation treatment. She is doing well. She's being pampered and loved by all. I've attached a couple of pictures showing where she hangs out with the lab techs."
Judy sent this update on July 8, 2011: "Thera came through her treatment like a champ. It appears the treatment worked well. She's back to her old self...minus the hair on her leg; however, it's starting to grow back on the inside part of the leg... Thank you and everyone that had Thera and us in their prayers."
And to that we add, AMEN! Thank you, Lord God Almighty, for answered prayers, and thank you, one and all, who prayed!
